Afternoon Tea In East Sussex
Everything stops for tea
Afternoon tea - it’s one of the finest British traditions, up there with Sunday roasts and seaside fish and chips. At Horsted Place Hotel, we like to keep this tradition alive, but give it our own twist – no wonder our lavish afternoon teas in Uckfield are renowned throughout the county.
All the cakes, pastries and scones served with our afternoon tea are homemade. Choose from a selection of blended teas – or, if it’s an extra special occasion, opt for our Champagne Afternoon tea and enjoy a glass of fizz. To be honest, we don’t need much persuasion to crack open a bottle of bubbly…
Of course the surroundings always add to the experience, and whether it’s the comfort of our Pugin-designed Royal Lounge in front of a roaring log fire on a winter’s afternoon, or out on the terrace on a beautiful summer’s day, we’ve got that covered too. Why not treat someone - perhaps with a welcoming glass of Champagne or Pimm’s to celebrate a special occasion? Or maybe give them a voucher so that they can choose a date at their leisure.
Booking is recommended and we ask that all afternoon tea guests finish by 6.30pm. Of course, you’re more than welcome to walk around the grounds once you’re finished.
Let us know of any food allergies, intolerances and diets when you book; we do all we can to accommodate important dietary needs, but we’re only able to do so with prior notice. Children are more than welcome, but we ask that prams and buggies aren’t brought into the Royal Lounge.
