Garden & Estate Walks
The perfect spot for a stomp
If golf, as Mark Twain claimed, is a good walk spoilt, then allow us to suggest some alternatives.
Our 1,100-acre estate is packed with stunning views, flowing streams, beautiful woodland and, if you’re lucky, you may catch sight of the deer that inhabit the estate. Ask for one of our estate maps, and you can take one of our two suggested routes – the shorter lasting around 20 minutes, the second around 45 minutes. If you choose the latter, the good news is it passes the golf club, so you can always pop in for some ‘sustenance’ along the way.
Alternatively feel free to use the map to make up your own walk, or if the golf course is closed, follow the cart paths.
We recommend stout walking attire or Wellington boots, as conditions can be very wet under foot. Take particular care when crossing the main road outside the hotel. Check before you leave if the golf course is open; give way to golfers for safety reasons.
