Welcome to Our New Way of Working

We have been following government guidelines and are committed to ensuring that all our guests feel both welcome and safe when they return to stay or dine with us.  The measures that we have adopted will create a secure environment for both guests and staff alike, and will allow for a reliable, comfortable and relaxing experience.  We will be reviewing our procedures continually in line with new information as it is released, and are dedicated to providing great hospitality as safely as possible.

Social Distancing and Public Areas

Horsted Place has the great advantage of available space – we can ensure proper distancing between seating and tables whilst still keeping a wonderful atmosphere.  We are also fortunate to have a wealth of outdoor spaces to offer - on the terrace, lawn and extensive gardens.

We will be serving a smaller number of guests, so that we can follow the advice of 2 metre social distancing wherever possible.  We will also have additional control measures in place to allow for situations where social distancing is more difficult.

Hand sanitising stations will be positioned throughout the hotel and we are adopting an enhanced cleaning regime in all the public areas with frequent checks
throughout the day.

Advance Booking

Pre-booking is essential, and we ask that all reservations be made by telephone so that a member of our team can explain in more detail our new policies and procedures.  We regret that we will not be able to accept any guests without a prior booking.

Arrival

We will ask you to give an estimated arrival time so we can offer you a swift check-in with minimal contact.  Arrival paperwork and keys will be waiting for you in your room.  If you need assistance with luggage, staff wearing appropriate protection will follow on to deliver your bags to your door.

Bedrooms and Suites

Our housekeeping team will be delivering a new rigorous high touch cleaning programme in every room after each check-out.  We will allow a minimum of 24 hours between the previous guest leaving and your arrival.  Rooms will no longer contain non-essential items such as magazines, brochures and notepads to further reduce risk.  Turndown and room servicing have temporarily been suspended but replenishment of towels, linen and anything else you require will always be
available upon request.

Dining

We have carefully arranged the tables in our Restaurant and Morning Room to maintain 2 metre social distancing.  Your waiter will serve you wearing appropriate PPE and individual menus will be printed specifically for your sole use.  Lunch or afternoon tea may also be enjoyed al fresco on our spacious terrace.

Departure

We will endeavour to email your bill prior to departure so you can settle and check out from the comfort of your room.  If checking out via reception we will ask for an estimated time of departure so we can manage the process as safely as possible.  Payment would be preferred by card and the card machine will be sanitised
between uses.
