| Horsted Place is the perfect venue for a country house wedding in the Sussex countryside. From the ceremony itself, to fine dining for your guests, your wedding can be as grand or as private as you’ve always dreamed it would be. Two of our rooms are licensed for marriage ceremonies - the warm and intimate Library which can seat up to 50 guests and the larger elegant Terrace Room which, with its French doors onto the formal gardens, is the perfect setting for gatherings of up to one hundred. Horsted Place changes with the seasons, making the perfect backdrop for your wedding at any time of the year. In the winter, holly and ivy surround our roaring log fires, and in the summer, our glorious gardens, landscaped by Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe, are alive with colourful and fragrant plants and flowers. Spring brings snowdrops, daffodils and carpets of bluebells, and in the autumn our trees glow with the changing colours of the season. Our dedicated staff are on hand to discuss your individual requirements and tailor make your wedding. If you are looking for ideas for flowers, and do not have a florist in mind, our in-house florist, Julia Crosthwaite, will be happy to advise. From the moment you place your special day in our care, we will provide the impeccable, friendly service that makes us what we are, and that has seen husbands and wives returning to celebrate their wedding anniversaries year after year.
