Horsted Place is the perfect venue for a country house wedding in the Sussex countryside. From the ceremony itself, to fine dining for your guests, your wedding can be as grand or as private as you’ve always dreamed it would be.

We have three areas licensed for marriage and civil partnership ceremonies*: the intimate Library can seat up to 48 guests while the larger Terrace Room with French doors on to the formal gardens seats up to one hundred. Ceremonies can also take place outside on the lawn with guests seated in front of the Victorian style summerhouse where the register is signed.

For couples with a local connection, there is the possibility of a church service at the little Norman church of St Michael and All Angels in Little Horsted.   Wedding guests may walk through the delightful gardens to the church along the Queen's Walk, originally made for HM Queen Elizabeth II to use when visiting Horsted Place whilst it was still a private house.

Our Wedding Co-ordinator is available to help you tailor-make your wedding celebration and to guide and support you throughout the planning of the day.  Our reputation is founded on impeccable service by an experienced staff who will do all possible to ensure a happy and memorable occasion.

Exclusive use
Horsted Place is available for the exclusive use of the wedding party which means you have your own country house and garden for the day, including the bedrooms. We can only offer music and dancing if exclusive use is taken.

Please note: Due to the size and nature of the building, Horsted Place is not suitable for wedding parties involving large numbers of small children where play areas and other facilities are required.
