Arrive on Christmas Eve in time for afternoon tea or join us in the evening for a Champagne Reception in the Drawing Room during which the Ashdown Singers perform carols in the Long Gallery.

After a 4-course dinner, you may like to walk by torchlight through the gardens to midnight service - a glass of mulled wine and mince pies by the fire will warm you up on your return.

Christmas Day Luncheon is a leisurely five-course affair prepared by our Head Chef, Allan Garth, and this splendid meal, preceded by Champagne, is the day’s culinary highlight.   A lazy afternoon in front of a log fire or opening your Christmas presents in your suite is followed by a buffet served in the evening.

On Boxing Day you may feel like taking some exercise - perhaps a set or two of tennis on our all-weather court or a round of golf at the nearby East Sussex National. Here the two championship courses may be played at preferential rates and the fully equipped gym and indoor swimming pool are available free of charge to Horsted Place guests. Or you could just curl up with a good book - the choice is yours.   Luncheon and dinner will be served as usual in the restaurant.
